Presenting With Confidence

75% of people say they fear public speaking more than they fear death.

Many actors face stage-fright every time they step on a stage. But they have been trained to use specific behaviours before and during their performance which enable them to step out there with more confidence and land their story powerfully with the audience.

In this one-day workshop for up to eight participants on presentation skills we will learn and practice these behaviours. By the end of this course, you will discover how to:

  • Use your space, body and voice to communicate powerfully and authentically, whilst increasing your sense of confidence
  • Grab your audiences’ attention in the first thirty seconds
  • Use eye contact, voice and body language to maintain their attention
  • Avoid ‘death by PowerPoint,’ ensuring that if you choose to use slides or hand-outs that they serve you and your message
  • Prepare for a presentation to minimise stress and set yourself up for success
  • Plan contingencies for the unexpected whilst presenting

Testimonials

An exceptional course leader: Tom was engaging and really personable.

The workshop gave me confidence when giving presentations or talking during meetings. Using the articulation exercises before giving a speech will be helpful in stopping nerves.

Really good trainer – great content and advice.  This is one of the best presentation skills courses I’ve attended!

Tom was amazing, I liked how he actively wanted us to challenge what he was saying, and how he provided personal feedback and things to work on. I feel much more confident about presenting now, would recommend this course to everyone.

I really appreciated Tom’s teaching style and gentle encouragement – I’m a very anxious person when I’m presenting and he really helped me feel at ease.
