Tom Malcolm Wright: Ethical Leadership Coach and Communication Skills Trainer

As an ethical leadership coach, I ask powerful questions to enable leaders to:

  1. Define their true goals
  2. Identify their core values
  3. Find ways to achieve their goals that are true to their values.

This process leads to changes which have a positive impact on their employees, society and the planet.

As a communications trainer, I run interactive workshops for professionals so that they feel confident in their ability to use their new skills and communicate more effectively.

Background

For twenty years I was a theatre director, leading teams through over 70 high-pressure creative projects. This varied from locking people in steel shipping containers to pop-up operas in Selfridges. During that time, I learnt how to:

  • bring teams together
  • unite people behind a shared vision
  • enable each participant to bring their full creativity and skills to each project
  • tell a story in a way which emotionally engages the audience
  • manage the stress of public performance

Along-side directing shows I began to share these skills with professionals and was amazed at the difference I was able to make to their working lives. Now I am focused on using what I learnt in theatre to support leaders and their teams to develop these skills within their organisations. I do this through practical group workshops and one on one coaching sessions.

I am based in York, England but work nationally and internationally as well as online.

Ethos

All my work is based on my belief that by deeply respecting the person in front of us we can support them to unlock their immense potential.
